  • How can people download WordPerfect Lightning Alone?

I just posted a question about this as a reply to an earlier post "This is heavenly." In a nutshell, I relied on the Lightning Reader link to give people access to receiving a manual in the format in which I wrote it -- bullets, fonts, pagination, footnotes, pictures, copyright notice, and...

  • Re: This is heaven -- and it circumvents a Vista bug!

Well, hopefully this update in the guise of a reply will take me to the head of the queue. The big question is: What happened to the link to download the WordPerfect Lightning Reader? Alone. That was a welcome period in heaven -- heaven being the ability to use and send WP files via e-mail attachments...

  • Scripting/API WP to print to PDF?

Is there an api that I can use to automate PDF generation on the desktop from WordPerfect? I'm currently using an application monitor program that is either slow or brittle and the batch operations seem like a common need. Has anyone tried this before?

  • saving document in pdf format

After I create a WordPerfect document, I then seek to publish it to PDF format. I am then prompted to save the document to a folder but instead of prompting me to save it in the same folder in which I created the WordPerfect document, it prompts me to the last place where I saved a PDF document. Can...

  • Re: Character Recognition

Hi Fr. John, Thanks for your comments. There were a few things that governed our decisions: Most scan software/hardware has the option to save as pdf or many image formats (so anyone can pretty much get it into PDF) Most of our bigger customers that I have talked with have PDF versus native word processing...

  • PDF Full Window View

Hi, I've just started using WP Lightning. It is very easy to get to know the basics. Here is some "what I would love to see included" I would really like WP Lightning Viewer to be able to display PDFs (and DOC, WPD) files in full page, full screen mode (Ctrl-L in Acrobat). With this it would be GREAT...

  • Three things

The ability to perform searches when viewing PDF files would really be invaluable. Being able to close the Viewer window using Ctrl + F4 would help. Window Handle: Adding the name (title) "Viewer" or "Lightning Viewer" in the window title bar could prove useful when using PerfectScript commands such...

  • Export Notebook content to HTML-book and/or PDF-book

It would be very nice feature to have: export the Notebook content to an indexed HTML (XML?) or PDF book-form. Even something simple like for example the first page is the content page with the list of links to topics (notes). That would provide great help with versioning or backup of the content, and...

  • Re: PDF File Information

Hi Jay! Important for the use of PDFs are for me in most cases the title, author or description information. Ok, i agree the filename can be the title, but often enough, I see documents called xy1023_rev10.pdf or something, so the possibility to provide additional information can be useful. The author...
