X4 crashes computer every time any you attempt to open of the WPO programs

X4 programs have all worked fine since I purchased and installed it on my computer......until now. I just installed the latest patch for Microsoft Vista and now whenever I attempt to open any of the WPO programs my computer locks up and I have to do a forced shut down by holding down the power button...
