Ira, that click you make on the little box is basically your snapshot. You are taking a one pixel snapshot. That is why it looks blank and that is why you can't then take a snapshot when Lightning comes back - you've already taken your snapshot. You don't need to click on that box to get Lightning back...

I have no problems with puns...Next time let it go. BTW, you can snapshot images to a note or to the clipboard or even to WPO (it defaults to note but you can select others on the pulldown menu - the tab arrowy thingy to the right of the snapshot icon - let me know if my technical jargon is too much...
