I have a continuing problem with Adobe Acrobat.  Currently using ver 8 Standard.

I want to convert WP X4 files to .pdf for distribution to clients.  I do that by printing to Adobe.  Makes a nice tight, compact file.

Trouble is that about once a day I get an error message saying there is an Error Initializing an Output Device, and the process fails.  This is followed by a message saying that memory at ..... can't be written.

My solution is to rund Adobe repair from the Adobe help menu, and then, often, must re-register the Adobe product.

This is maddening, and time consuming.  Never have the problem with any other program, only X4.

All ides gladly welcomed!

The publish to pdf feature in X4 is pretty good, and it does create pdfs in Version 8. I've had problems conversing between other programs and Acrobat also.

Here's the probable solution:

This is a WordPerfect problem, not a printer problem. The PrintserverNN.exe program did not come up correctly. To resolve it, find the PrintserverNN.program somewhere in your Corel folder, usually in the Program folder. NN is the number of your version of WP, included in the name of the Printserver program. Right-click on that program and copy it, then go to the Startup folder in your Start Menu Programs folder and paste it as a shortcut so it will start whenever your computer boots up.

Restart your computer and the problem should be solved.

If this doesn't work, post another message. I've had the same problem.

Many thanks, Michael.  So far this seems to work, and your instructions were very clear.
