I have WP 11 on my new Windows 7 and it won't work properly.  So just ordered WP XP standard for home use - do I need to remove my WP 11 before installing WP XP?   Please and thank you.  Sylvia

Hi Sylverie

WP11 will not work well on Win7.  So, I would recommend removing it regardless (or use on an older PC only).

What version of WordPerfect did you order?  XP?  Or X4?

Thanks,

Jay

Thanks for your interest Jay.

Have ordered Home X4 - any info on that program?  As opposed to XP??

Someone told me the Home edition does not have "everything" but I am not sure what they mean.  Just need the word processing.

Love my WP!!  While waiting for my CD to arrive with the program had to do a letter on Microsoft Word and ended up so frustrated wanted to cry.  Simply wanted to change the margins and took about six screens to do so.  lol

Regards

Sylvia

Hi Sylvia

WPO X4 Home & Student is a little less featured than Standard (we have taken out features like PDF import that should not be of interest to home users but are more important to businesses for example).  But, the word processor will work as you have always loved.

We have never had an "XP" version (though we work on Windows XP).  in version 13 we went from numbers (12) to the roman numeral "x" - so X3, X4 etc.  Many would think we change numbers just to confuse - we are trying not to :)

Feel free to ping me again (or directly) once you get X4 CDs to let me know how things are going.

Cheers

Jay
