The first part of the message is the path & file name to any file I try to open with WordPerfect 4. This message just started the past few days and it's happening on both my desktop and laptop. Of course, i'm using the same file just moving it between the two systems with a thumb drive. However, I just remembered that that message appeared on an old file. So, it wasn't related to a move with the thumb drive. We can eliminate that option.
I use Windows XP (sp2- all updates) on both machines and just did a full-system virus scan. I didn't find any mention of this on the internet or on this site. Anyone have any ideas?
BTW, the files do open even though the message says they cannont be opened.
