When I open a file, I want the name column to default to "size column to fit."
I can right click on it and mark it, but it does not stay. How do I permanently keep "size column to fit" on so the whole file name appears when I open a file?
I think you mean the File > Open dialog. I know X4 does not let the setting stick.
Explorer will stick when you widen the columns. You can open files from Explorer rather easily. Another easy way to open Explorer folders from wp is to add a Folder to the toolbar. Drag and drop a folder from Explorer to your toolbar. To delete it quickly if needed, hold the Alt key down and drag it off.

Corel should adopt the explorer that I linked rather than Microsoft's Explorer-like dialogs. The author is working on some other features for it. One thing I like about it is the ability to search in files. In Windows, you will need to install Corel's iFilter to get it to search in wp file content. The ability to search wp file content is in QuickFinder but it is a 3rd party program that Corel does not include with all versions of wp.
