I have WordPerfect 9.  When I insert pictures into a document they sometimes move around and I have to go into the codes to get them straightened out.  Does this still happen in Office X4?

Thanks, Kathy

Yes, it's a good thing too.

If you get tired changing properties for your new graphic objects, edit the style and be done with it.  This is done by Format > Graphic Styles... > Box > Draw Object > Edit.

One method to solve your problem is the one I use.

I link all photos to the line where I enter them.  I do it using a macro.

Here's how to create your own:

1.  Select Tools > Macro > Record.

2. Type a single letter, like A.

3.  Select Tools > Macro > Record.  (That stops the recording.)

4.  Save it a '1' (without quotes).

5.  Select Tools > Macro > Edit.

6.  Copy and paste lines below into that macro - replacing all the lines that are in it at this point.

7.  Click on the "Save & Compile" button (middle top of editing area).

8.  Select Tools > Macro > Edit.  (To change the name of the macro.)

9.  RIGHT-click on the macro's current name: 1.wcm

10.  Click on "Rename".

11.  Type whatever name you want for the macro.  KEEP the '.wcm' at the end.  (I've called mine 'Graphic Para RITE.wcm'

12  Exit the Macro director.

13.  To run it, insert the graphic.

14.    While it still has the 'dots' arround it, select Tools > Macro > Play.

NOTE:  You can add the macro to your ToolBar.  Go to http://DarryD.com and click on "WordPerfect" to see a lesson on how to do that.

COPY THE DATA BELOW (but not this line) INTO THE MACRO (Step 6, above):

Application (WordPerfect; "WordPerfect"; Default!; "EN")

Images moving around in WordPerfect was a problem for me too. Tried Kenneth Hobson's tip so I don't have to keep changing properties and that worked fine for me.
